News : Resolute Consulting Vice President Named to Elite Leadership Group
CHICAGO – July 22, 2009 – The Chicago Council on Global Affairs has named Resolute Consulting’s John McGovern to the Emerging Leaders class of 2009-2011.
“These Emerging Leaders are global citizens in every sense, hailing from Chicago but with gazes that span far beyond,” said Marshall M. Bouton, president of The Chicago Council on Global Affairs. “The city’s future depends greatly on their abilities to serve as knowledgeable agents of change.”
Each class comprises of 22 exceptional leaders committed to Chicago and its continued success in the global era. With backgrounds in the government, private, and/or not-for-profit sectors, the fellows will examine and tackle the challenges currently facing Chicago and the Midwest.
Emerging Leaders begin by exploring and discussing timely issues such energy, the global economy, foreign policy, the environment and climate change, and migration. During the second year the group will create and present a detailed report on a pressing global challenge affecting Chicago.
“John possesses a keen intellect and superior analytical skills, and is a strategic thinker of the highest caliber,” said Anne-Marie St. Germaine, Chief Creative Officer of Resolute Consulting. “He is dedicated to being an active participant in finding solutions to our great city’s challenges.”
John joined Resolute Consulting in 2007 focusing on strategic communications in the public policy arena and providing expertise in navigating complex decision-making processes at the federal level. He previously worked for U.S. House Speaker J. Dennis Hastert and served as the executive director of Keep Our Majority PAC; he is a seasoned campaign manager and communications director.
