News : Publicity Club of Chicago Awards Resolute With Two Silver Trumpets
CHICAGO – May 1, 2009 – The Publicity Club of Chicago, the nation’s largest independent public relations membership organization, has awarded Resolute Consulting with two 2009 Silver Trumpet Awards. Resolute won awards in two categories – "Special Events and Observances" and "Feature Videotapes and Film."
For "Special Events and Observances" the Silver Trumpet recognizes Resolute’s work in media relations for the Illinois Restaurant Association’s debut urban food and wine festival, Chicago Gourmet. Just one month prior to the event, Resolute was hired to provide strategic communications support.
In order to secure results in a short time frame, Resolute conducted media and online outreach, Web strategy and development and marketing support. As a result, Resolute secured more than 12 million impressions in regional and national coverage and helped drive ticket sales, contributing to a turnout of more than 6,400 attendees over the three-day festival.
For the "Feature Videotapes and Film" category, the Silver Trumpet recognizes Resolute’s film and video production for Allied Waste’s new Construction & Demolition (C&D) recycling facility that opened in 2008. The film was Allied’s first regional, documentary-style video that highlights one of the company’s premier assets in recycling. Resolute provided production, script development, and
overall management for the video, which has been used for the sales division, corporate events and for media briefings.
"It is an honor to be recognized by the Publicity Club of Chicago and our peers for the work we do on behalf of our clients," said Greg Goldner, president of Resolute Consulting. "Whether it’s in the media, on the Web or through videos, our clients work in partnership with us to achieve their business goals."
